ProAmpac has designed and produced a hot box for Circle K's Flamin' Hot chicken wings, built to stand up to the convenience chain's modern grab-and-go food program.

The supplier created the package specifically for the chain's hot wing offering. ProAmpac says the box can handle the demands of grab-and-go foodservice, where packaged hot items must hold up through pickup, transport and immediate consumption.

The deal gives Circle K a custom format for one of its signature hot food items. Convenience retailers have pushed deeper into prepared foods, and packaging that keeps hot products intact and appealing has become part of that equation.

For ProAmpac, the Circle K win extends its footprint in convenience foodservice packaging, a segment where suppliers compete on format innovation as chains expand their fresh and hot food programs.
