Walmart expands Black Friday and Cyber Monday plan to 14 deal days
Walmart’s 2026 holiday calendar contains 14 deal days across three events, four more than in 2025. Early Black Friday offers, tiered member access and sub-$20 gifts anchor the push.

Walmart’s 2026 holiday sales program offers 14 deal days across three events, up from 10 deal days in 2025, according to the retailer’s announcement. The Nov. 12 through Dec. 2 schedule begins with early Black Friday deals and ends with Cyber Monday.
When do Walmart’s sales events start?
Walmart said early Black Friday deals will be available from Nov. 12 to Nov. 15. The core Black Friday sale will be live from Nov. 23 to Nov. 29, and Cyber Monday will run from Nov. 30 to Dec. 2.
The 2025 promotion also contained three events and totaled 10 days. The 2026 calendar therefore adds four sale days without increasing the number of events. For holiday merchants, Walmart’s announced schedule provides a longer promotional runway while preserving a three-part sales structure.
What changed in Walmart’s product messaging?
Walmart’s 2025 announcement included a sneak peek of listed deals for its first sales event. The preview highlighted specific toys, electronics and other products. The retailer did not highlight specific products in its 2026 announcement. Instead, Walmart emphasized that thousands of gifts will be available below $20.
The change gives shoppers a broad price threshold rather than named products when the announcement opens. It also shifts the opening sales message from product spotlights to gift availability. For competitors, the announcement offers less detail on featured items, although Walmart still provides a clear affordability marker.
How does Walmart+ structure early access?
Members of Walmart’s paid subscription, Walmart+, will receive various levels of early access to specific deals during the two Black Friday sales events this season, according to the Monday announcement. Early access therefore spans both the Nov. 12-15 event and the Nov. 23-29 core sale, according to the company’s schedule.
The structure gives Walmart a staged release mechanism rather than one uniform member window. Paid members receive access during both Black Friday events, giving the retailer two points to manage deal availability.
How much does the new membership bundle save?
Earlier this month, Walmart introduced a combination bundle for Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus. Customers can purchase both memberships for $120 a year, saving about $100 compared with buying them separately. The retailer put the bundle in market before the Nov. 12 start of the sales schedule.
For households already considering both programs, the offer replaces two separate annual purchases with one $120 package. For Walmart, the bundle creates a unified paid-membership proposition ahead of its expanded holiday sales calendar.
Why does Telsey expect Walmart to perform?
Telsey Advisory Group analysts said in a Monday research note shared with Retail Dive: “Walmart should be another winner this holiday season … as it offers a wide range of value-focused, trend-right, and discretionary products.” The same note said Target and Costco are also expected to do well during the period.
Telsey’s assessment rests on Walmart’s combination of value positioning, trend-right products and discretionary choices. For retail teams, the four-day extension, broad sub-$20 gift message and tiered member access are the practical signals to watch as the season begins. The test is whether the longer calendar turns Walmart’s product breadth into holiday sales, the outcome Telsey expects.
