QVC Enters Its 40th Holiday Season Betting on TikTok and TV
QVC heads into its 40th holiday season with nearly 1 million new U.S. TikTok Shop customers, a Nov. 6-8 sales event and celebrity exclusives across TV and social.
At a glance
- QVC and HSN acquired nearly 1 million new U.S. customers on TikTok Shop in 2025.
- QVC launches its 40th holiday season with the 'Nonstop Holiday Party' event Nov. 6-8.
- QVC began streaming 24/7 on TikTok in April 2025.
- Holiday exclusives include launches from Off/Duty by Coco Rocha and RM Studio by Rebecca Minkoff.
- QVC launched in 1986 as one of the originators of live commerce in the U.S.
QVC and its sibling HSN acquired nearly 1 million new U.S. customers on TikTok Shop in 2025, and the 39-year-old broadcaster is now leaning on that pipeline for its 40th holiday season.
The company's seasonal push, first reported by Modern Retail, spans TV, TikTok and its owned digital properties. QVC did not disclose its holiday sales forecast, so there's no way to gauge how much the social push must earn to matter.
What is QVC actually selling this season?
The lineup mixes mass brands with exclusives. QVC will offer gifts from Le Creuset, KitchenAid, Laura Mercier and Nespresso, alongside QVC-exclusive launches from Off/Duty by Coco Rocha and RM Studio by Rebecca Minkoff. Exclusive product is the retailer's traditional moat; the celebrity names are the new variable.
The merchandising runs alongside a three-day event. The "Nonstop Holiday Party," scheduled Nov. 6-8, will feature early Black Friday sales and appearances by Martha Stewart, John Legend and Teri Hatcher. QVC has also cast "Boy Meets World" star Danielle Fishel as Mrs. Claus in a marketing campaign.
How did a cable retailer become a TikTok player?
QVC launched in 1986 and is one of the originators of live commerce in the U.S. That head start didn't protect it from needing to adapt as the format spread to social platforms.
In April 2025, QVC started streaming 24/7 on TikTok — the first U.S. live social shopping experience of its kind, according to the company. Beyond its own livestreams and TikTok Shop storefront, QVC works with hundreds of thousands of creators. That's a distribution footprint few retailers can copy, though the company hasn't said what those creators cost or convert.
Today, sellers showcase products ranging from jewelry to pajamas across TV, QVC.com, the QVC app, social media and streaming platforms. QVC Group was named Seller of the Year at the TikTok Shop Awards, per its newsroom.
Does the flywheel actually spin?
The strategy's logic is straightforward: TV audiences skew older, TikTok skews younger, and each channel feeds the other's discovery. Nearly 1 million new U.S. customers in a single year on TikTok Shop suggests the social side is pulling real weight — roughly 2,700 new customers per day, if spread evenly.
But live shopping in the U.S. remains a contested bet, and QVC hasn't released retention or average-order figures for those TikTok-acquired shoppers. Customer counts are easy to tout; profitable customers are harder to prove.
The holiday season, with its Nov. 6-8 event as the first real test, will show whether the TV-to-TikTok flywheel can carry a 40th holiday or whether the new customers were one-time gift buyers.
