Trader Joe's confirmed three additional store openings on October 20, 2026, lifting its published 2027 footprint commitment to 30 stores across 14 states announced Oct. 12 plus a new Oregon entry.

The Monrovia, California-based grocery chain disclosed the trio of addresses on Tuesday: Bend, Oregon (61284 S. Highway 7), Boynton Beach, Florida (334 N. Congress Ave. Unit B), and Phoenix, Arizona (4519 East Thomas Road). All three stores are scheduled to open sometime next year, according to multiple reports.

What does the October ramp signal?

For competitive intelligence teams at conventional and specialty banners, the timing converts a previously announced address trail into a near-term calendar. The 14-state list arrived on Oct. 12; the latest three confirm a delivery window compressed into roughly the next 14 months.

For site-selection practitioners, the address roster now offers 30 named trade areas to model against rival footprints. Phoenix receives a second Arizona commitment (21001 N. Tatum Boulevard, Suite 1030 was listed in the earlier batch), lifting that metro to two openings inside the 2027 window.

Boynton Beach moves Florida to three stores, joining Orlando and Sarasota. Bend marks Oregon's first appearance on the address list, extending the chain's Pacific footprint beyond Seattle, Spokane Valley, and the four California sites.

Where the previously announced addresses sit

The Oct. 12 release covered the following stores:

  • Arizona: Phoenix (21001 North Tatum Boulevard, Suite 1030)
  • California: Anaheim Hills (6336 East Santa Ana Canyon Road), Leucadia (1590 Leucadia Boulevard), Riverbank (2135 Claribel Road), San Diego (3962 Clairemont Mesa Boulevard)
  • Colorado: Denver (8564 East Northfield Boulevard)
  • Florida: Orlando (1444 North Alafaya Trail), Sarasota (8199 S Tamiami Trail Unit 100)
  • Illinois: Oswego (1930 US-34), Chicago (804 West Montrose Avenue), Chicago (6191 N. Lincoln Avenue), Joliet (2741 Plainfield Road)
  • Maryland: Baltimore (6311 York Road–Anneslie)
  • Massachusetts: Quincy (111 General McConville Way)
  • Michigan: Farmington Hills (27658 Middlebelt Road)
  • Nebraska: Omaha (192nd and Burke Street)
  • New Jersey: West Orange (471 Mt. Pleasant Avenue), Jersey City (55 Hudson Street)
  • New York: Syracuse (3515 West Genesee Street), Yonkers (2482 Central Park Avenue)
  • Ohio: University Heights (2643 Warrensville Center Road)
  • Texas: Bellaire (5130 Bellaire Boulevard Suite 100), Cedar Park (1800 East Whitestone Boulevard), Mansfield (1580 East Debbie Lane)
  • Utah: West Jordan (5561 W 7800 S)
  • Washington: Seattle (401 NE Northgate Way), Spokane Valley (13414 East Sprague Avenue)

How concentrated is the pipeline?

Texas holds three stores (Bellaire, Cedar Park, Mansfield); Illinois holds four (Oswego, two Chicago addresses, Joliet); California holds four (Anaheim Hills, Leucadia, Riverbank, San Diego). Those three states alone account for 11 of the 30 openings, a 37 percent concentration of the pipeline.

New Jersey, New York, and Florida each contribute two or three stores once Boynton Beach is added. Seven of the 14 previously announced states host only one store, leaving most of the regional density concentrated in four metros.

What cadence does the schedule imply?

For practitioners running new-store media plans, the 30 addresses also function as a 2027 launch calendar, with openings aligning to back-to-school grocery trips in late summer and the holiday entertaining surge in October. Spread over the runway, the cadence translates to roughly one store opening every 14 days.

The next read traders will get is whether the chain files additional addresses before 2026 closes, an indicator that could push the pipeline past 30 stores and reset the specialty-grocer expansion benchmark set by other cult-format operators.
