At a glance

  • Shipt added 350+ Northeast grocery stores via a partnership announced Oct. 19, 2026.
  • Eight Wakefern-affiliated banners joined, including ShopRite, Price Rite Marketplace and Fairway Market.
  • Stores span NJ, NY, PA, CT, MD and MA, including Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore and Manhattan.
  • Promo code FALLINTO50 gives 50% off a first order of $50+ (max $40), expiring Nov. 14.

Shipt has added more than 350 Northeast grocery stores to its same-day delivery marketplace through a partnership with Wakefern Food Corp. and affiliated retailers, the company announced Oct. 19, 2026.

Eight banners join the platform:

  • ShopRite
  • Price Rite Marketplace
  • The Fresh Grocer
  • Fairway Market
  • Morton Williams
  • Gourmet Garage
  • Dearborn Market
  • Di Bruno Bros.

Where will delivery be available?

The stores span New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maryland and Massachusetts, among other markets. Named locations include Philadelphia, Hartford, Baltimore, Long Island, Rochester, Buffalo, Boston and Manhattan.

Customers can order groceries, fresh produce, pantry staples and household essentials through Shipt's network of personal shoppers. For shoppers in those metros, that means one more way to buy from regional grocers without setting foot in the store.

Who is Wakefern?

Wakefern, based in New Jersey, is a retailer-owned supermarket cooperative. It operates ShopRite and Price Rite Marketplace itself; the other six banners are run by affiliated retailers serving regional markets, including New York City and Philadelphia's surrounding communities.

Darren Caudill, Wakefern's chief sales officer, framed the deal simply: the partnership provides another way for customers to shop at the participating supermarkets. It's a modest claim, and an accurate one — this is a distribution deal, not a product or pricing overhaul.

Is there a promotional hook?

Yes. First-time customers get 50% off an order of $50 or more, capped at $40, using the code FALLINTO50. The offer expires Nov. 14 and carries terms and conditions the announcement did not spell out. Read the fine print before banking on the full $40.

Neither company disclosed financial terms of the agreement, nor did they say whether more Wakefern-affiliated stores could join later. What's on the record: eight banners, 350-plus stores, six-plus states, and a discount code with a four-week shelf life.

What does this mean for the market?

The deal widens Shipt's grocery footprint in the densely populated Northeast, where it now reaches shoppers from Boston to Baltimore through a single cooperative partner. For Wakefern's member banners, it adds a same-day channel without requiring them to build delivery operations of their own.
