NexChapter has added two executives as the Des Moines, Iowa-based consulting firm scales its retail media and industry partnership capabilities. Jeanie Hornung has joined as principal and vice president of industry relationships, and Ryan Colling has taken on the role of retail media manager, the company announced September 15, 2026.

Hornung most recently served as vice president of retail technology partnerships at Informa Connect, CSP's parent company. At NexChapter, she will focus on strengthening connections across the firm's growing ecosystem of retailers, quick-service restaurant operators, consumer packaged goods companies and trade media.

Colling brings more than a decade of experience across retail, data, insights and client growth, including roles at Experian and NielsenIQ. He will work directly with clients to maximize the value of their retail media businesses. His remit covers commercialization, sales enablement, go-to-market execution, and brand and agency engagement.

The company said the two hires reflect its broader approach to growth: adding experienced practitioners in areas where clients face increasingly complex needs, while continuing to build connections across the industry.

"What we are building at NexChapter is bigger than a traditional consulting firm. We are building a team and a network that can help our clients see around corners, connect to the right people and partners, and then get the work done," said Art Sebastian, founder and CEO of NexChapter. "I am incredibly grateful for the momentum we have created, for the clients who continue to put their trust in us and for the caliber of people who want to be part of what we are building."

Sebastian also chairs CSP and Informa Connect's C-StoreTEC Advisory Board.

NexChapter works across retail media, loyalty, digital commerce, artificial intelligence, customer engagement, foodservice, merchandising and talent. Its portfolio spans convenience, grocery, QSR and the companies that support them.

The C-StoreTEC event, where Sebastian serves as advisory board chairman, runs October 26-28 in Lombard, Illinois. The hires signal that NexChapter expects client demand for hands-on retail media commercialization expertise to keep growing across the convenience and grocery channels.
