Save Mart Extends Curbside Pickup to Lucky, FoodMaxx Banners
The Save Mart Companies launched Instacart-powered curbside pickup at Lucky and FoodMaxx stores in Northern California, with $40 promo incentives for first-time users through Dec. 31.

The Save Mart Companies launched curbside pickup at Lucky and FoodMaxx stores across Northern California on Sept. 16, completing the service's availability across all three of its banners for the first time.
The program, powered by Instacart, lets customers at eligible Lucky and FoodMaxx locations order groceries online and collect them without leaving their cars. Save Mart banner stores already offered the service.
To drive trial, first-time customers can save $40 off their first three curbside pickup orders of $100 or more on eligible products through Dec. 31, using the code PICKUP40.
"We have a clear focus on continuing to make grocery shopping easier and more convenient for our customers, so we are thrilled to add this service to our Lucky and FoodMaxx stores," said Vivek Kalpande, senior vice president of digital and ecommerce for The Save Mart Companies. "We are listening to our customers and evolving with their needs. Our customers can now shop us however they would like—in-store, on the web, or on the app—with a new pickup option."
Customers place orders through the Lucky or FoodMaxx delivery app on a phone or tablet, which guides them through the ordering process, or via the web. When customers arrive at their designated pickup location, store team members bring the groceries directly to their cars and load them.
The expansion gives the regional grocer a full omnichannel footprint in Northern California, matching the pickup and delivery options that larger national chains already operate in the market.
